Yes, access to 5G requires a handset that supports 5G connectivity.

At the moment, Onic 5G is currently available at select locations in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Will be launching in other cities across Pakistan soon.

No, you don’t need to change your SIM. Any SIM that supports 4G is already compatible with 5G.

No, there’s no need for a special plan. Your existing plan will work just fine on 5G.

There are no additional charges for 5G itself. You can continue using your current plans.

In most cases, 5G activates automatically if you're using a 5G-enabled device within a 5G coverage area.

If needed, you can manually enable it by:

• Going to Settings

• Selecting Mobile Networks

• Choosing your SIM

• Tapping Preferred Network Type

• Selecting 5G

Make sure 5G is enabled in your settings, confirm you’re in a coverage area, update your device software, and restart your phone if needed.

This is completely normal. Your phone may switch to 5G when actively using data and revert to 4G when idle to conserve battery. Network availability in your location can also affect this behavior.
